This week at the Monaco Yacht Show 2021 YachtEye will unveil its first mobile app, meaning that you can now check your itinerary, water temperature or cruising speed while lounging on your sundeck.
The YachtEye team will also be revealing the latest developments to the superyacht infotainment system with its latest version, YachtEye 5.0, now offering a host of new features, including:
- Reduce the bandwidth usage of YachtEye with the offline maps feature
- Expanded the Windy integration with several Windy layers, like current, wind direction, waves, temperature and clouds.
- New additional visual interface for the MakkahPointer
- New helideck feature that can track helicopters in the area that are flying towards the yacht
- Toggle between 3D satellite maps and vector maps
The app will give YachtEye clients direct access to features like itinerary, gallery, current location and several data points like the air temperature, sea temperature, wind, yacht speed and more.
In addition to giving easy access to the main features of YachtEye, the app also has a fully integrated remote control for the onboard YachtEye system. From a mobile phone, clients can easily control the YachtEye system on any of the TVs onboard! Furthermore, users can read the latest superyacht news from SYT and can easily upload photos from their phone directly to the system meaning that your holiday shots can be shared with your entire group at the click of a button.
“Increasing the usability of the YachtEye system is very important for us”, says Commercial Director Peter Aarts. “With the mobile application, we make it very easy for the owner to check on the trip and control the system onboard the yacht. Another way to increase the usability is our new Crestron integration, which makes it easy for clients to use the Crestron remote to control the YachtEye system”.
YachtEye will be on display at the SuperYacht Times stand (DS96), where guests will be shown how to use YachtEye on a 77 inch Sony TV and try the new app. YachtEye will also be on display in the MYS Design & Innovation Hub and on Crestron’s stand (stand AL8). Stop by our stand or contact us at https://yachteye.com/bookademo to book a demonstration with the team.
Since March 2020 YachtEye is owned by SuperYacht Times and currently runs onboard more than 80 of the world’s largest yachts.
